FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How EOG works, who we work with, and what to expect.
Working with EOG
What kind of businesses does EOG work with?
Growth-stage Nigerian businesses: enterprises too large for microfinance, underserved by conventional bank lending, and not yet ready for public capital markets. Our engagements span a wide range of sectors, including real estate, information technology, media, financial consulting, fashion, fintech, healthcare, and oil and gas.
Do you only work with certain sectors?
No. EOG follows a disciplined, sector-agnostic approach rather than relying on any single industry.
How do I get started?
Start with the eligibility check. It takes a few minutes, needs no documents, and tells you whether a call makes sense now. You can also contact the team directly.
Capital Sourcing
What type of capital can EOG help me raise?
Primarily debt financing, structured around how your business generates cash. Where equity is a better fit, we can advise on that route too.
How are repayments structured?
Around your business’s genuine cash conversion cycle. If your revenue arrives on project or contract completion, the repayment structure is built to reflect that.
What documents will I need?
Typically your CAC registration documents, 12 months of bank statements and management accounts, plus details of the contract, project or transaction the capital supports. Real estate projects need site and approval documents as well.
How long does it take?
It depends mostly on how complete your documentation is. EOG focuses on speed without compromising the diligence that protects both client and capital provider.
What if my business is not ready for capital yet?
The eligibility check will tell you, and point you to the right next step: Accounting Services to get your books and compliance in order, Strategy & Advisory to plan for the next raise, or Capital Placement if you hold capital to put to work.
Capital Placement
In Capital Placement, does EOG hold investors’ money?
No. Funds move directly between the investor and the licensed, regulated partner. EOG does not hold or manage them.
Advisory & Accounting
Do I need to be raising capital to use Accounting Services?
No. Accounting Services began with the reporting needs of our finance clients and is now offered in its own right.
What does Strategy & Advisory cover?
Mainly Deployment Advisory: helping you deploy capital you have just raised through allocation strategy, prioritised roadmaps and performance tracking. We also take on select bespoke strategy and business advisory engagements.
Compliance
Is EOG a registered company?
Yes. EOG Limited is a private limited company incorporated in Nigeria. For Capital Placement, EOG works only with licensed, regulated asset managers and investment partners.
Is the eligibility check a loan application?
No. It is a self-assessment that helps you and the team decide whether to talk. It is not an offer of finance, and nothing is sent to EOG unless you choose to send it.
A disciplined, relationship-led alternative to conventional bank financing.
Combining the speed growth-stage businesses need with the diligence institutional capital providers require.
